Debes utilizar 1 Jframe y 2 Jpanel, agrega al jframe los paneles através de nomframe.getContentPane().add(nomPanel);

En el actionperfomed() que el que maneja el evento del botón a utilizar colocas nomPanelOcultar.setVisible(false); y nomPanelMostrar.setVisible(true);
